BUSINESS VENTURE

Every year, when the second year marketing students are given their entrepreneurship projects, we feel that all the groups tend to stick to the same business ideas. They advertise using the same techniques and they all sell relatively boring products.

We felt that we would like to create a service for students at AAA, instead of trying to force products in their face. Along with creating the service, we want to ensure that our business venture creates a bit of excitement at college.

We will be setting up a photographic studio in the grad-year copywriting class at AAA School of Advertising. Wayne Reiche will be our resident photographer, taking photos of the students each day.

Each day’s photographs will be inspired by a different theme and students will be encouraged to dress up, pose and act out anything they associate with the day’s theme. A small fee (R5) will be paid by the students to enter the photographic studio and have their photographs taken. Photos can be downloaded from this blog for FREE. Students will automatically be entered into a daily competition, which will give them the opportunity to win one of several sponsored prizes.

Prizes:

5 x R100 Steers vouchers

BondiBlu eyewear

A2 Band Posters

16 Bang Bang complimentary tickets

Chatta Box wine

2 x Blush Sparkling wine

The more you enter the better your chances of winning.

Wednesday was filled with fun and excitement. Students challenged one another in coming up with random poses, all wanting to win prizes.

The Three musketeers prepared for the Full Monty, Mexican Gymnasts warmed up and they’re ready for more. The black token girl made her mark and together with her group, they won the Baluga voucher. Mike gave birth to his first born child, Bruce being the proud father of a beautiful Teletubby. Jimi and Bob made their appearance together with Alice, Scuba Steve and a firefighter.

Thursday we challenge the brave: Individual photos will be taken and one lucky winner will walk a way with Nikon waterproof binoculars, worth R700.
